Hi, every one! I’m getting married in september. As part of the flower arangments we want some Angels trumpet flowers. Dont know where we can get them. they can be found in europe but are classed as a troppical flower.
some species can be raised from seed, (try Chiltern seeds or Ebay as sources) but if you are marrying in September then that’s not enough time, so you need to buy plants ready grown. Most big garden centres stock Datura and Brugmansia (looks a lot like Datura); try Dobbies if there’s one near you, or just B&Q or Homebase. Ebay might also be worth trying.
Bear in mind that Datura is one of the most toxic plants on the planet: i’m sure nobody is going to eat them but getting the sap on your skin (as when holding a bouquet) can allow the toxins to enter your system. Also, if you get the sap on your fingers then rub your eyes you may end up with pupils that are dilated for 3-5 DAYS! (this is due to the large amounts of hyoscine and atropine in datura).

We are trying to set up a little water lily garden on our Lanai. We checked home depot and most hardware stores with no luck. Any suggestions of nurseries or home &garden shops in Honolulu would be greatly appreciated
you could always make your own from clay in the area its pretty easy and a fun family project. all you got to get is some clay and put it in water for a few days till its nice and smooth then mix 5 cups clay with 1 cup sand mix it till its mixed very well, then you let it dry in the sun for a 3 days. then all you got to do is fire them check the link below

What’s the best thing to rid Koi and goldfish ponds of algae and the muck on the bottom of the ponds? What’s good to keep the oxygen levels up?
or Any other suggestions for someone who has inherited these fish ponds.
Yes the ponds have a pump with filter system, there are UV light bulbs in the filter boxes. There are a few plants in each pond.
Any help would be appreciated. I read that a veggie filter works, anyone know?
pond owners swear by UV pond filters to help get rid of algae blooms. these blooms are caused by excess nutrients and sunlight. does the pond have a regular filter at the moment? water movement and filtration will also help.

Kasi po I been using those three products to lighten and smoothen my skin. Likas papaya when taking a bath, chin chan su kapag matutulog na ko and then ponds whitening cream kapag lumalabas ako. and I notice, parang wala naman nangyayari, di nagbabago kulay ko and di nawawala yung mga blemishes and pimples ko.
ang sungit naman ata ni janey..
well, that’s fine to use many products as u can.. but if you would ask me? i’ll try one at a time.. cos i thnk it can irritate ur skin pag paiba iba..iba iiba po kc ang chemicals each of those products..
ako, i’m using ponds papaya.. and chin chan sue pra mwala ung dark spot n pinanggalingan nung pimples.. it works well..
but kung ako sayo buy PROACTIVE solution..u can but it sa WATSONS.. i think 3,500 un..but worth it un!
Sa pimples mo naman, GET RID OFF on OILY FOODS,CHOCOLATE,CANDIES,ORANGE JUICE,MILK, and depends on the WATER u drink..
I ALSO RECOMMEND YOU,, IF YOU GOT BIG ZITS/pimples, PUT COLGATE AT THE TIP OF THE ZIT..it works really well,,coz ur pimple will dry fast.. DUN LNG PO SA TIP of ur PIMPLE.. do that before u go to bed..
hope, this works..^_^

I have two burpless cucumber plants they have yellow flowers close to the stem at the bottom of the plant and what look like mini cucumbers with flowers on the end that havent flowered yet. I have been told I have to remove the male flowers or the fruit will be bitter but which is which as if I remove the wrong one there will be no cucumbers. Please help!
The male flowers have no mini cucumbers and carry pollen, the female flowers have mini cucumbers and no pollen.
If you allow the fruit to be fertilised and produce seeds, they tend to be bitter. On the other hand, in several places I have seen it said that the flowers have to be fertilised, or they will drop off!
Have you ever bought a cucumber that doesn’t have soft white seeds in the middle? I think they do need fertilising and that, perhaps, older varieties of cucumber did tend to become bitter.
If you leave all the flowers on, you will certainly get cucumbers!
